1A. Introduction
I am Amnei-Jakev. I go to http://acforums.megadoomer.com/index.php as JakeV, so you might know me from there. Is this part done now?
-
2A. Gameplay
Getting started.
Gunbound is fun and simple, but very deep. All the mobiles are different, each firing in their own way,
their own shots.
Controls:
Up/Down-Angle movement.
Left/Right-Mobile Movement.
Space- Fills up power bar. The longer you hold it, the farther your shot will go. This doesn't effect the damage of the shot, usually.
F1-F6-Item Useage. Press the button according to the slots to use the item. I.E, if you had dual in 1 and 2, you could use F1 or F2 to use the dual item.
Other F(number) buttons-They do stuff.
Other:
Typing messages- Messages typed have a 45(?) character limit on them, and after your done typing it you have to push enter for it to be sent. Some words are filtered out, like "suck", making you have to retype the message again. Pressing the ALL button (where you see your messages typed), makes it the TEAM button, making your messages go to people on your team ONLY. Pressing the TEAM button makes it the ALL button.
-
2B Commands
/h, /help /guide
Basic Command List.
/to, /m, /message
Sends a person your message. If they aren't there, it is sent to them when they log on. I think.
I.E. /m Amnei-JakeV Dude, Get in here, we're about to start!
/kick (name)
Game host ONLY
Kicks somone out of your game.(Only during waiting screen)
I.E. /kick Amnei-JakeV
/key
Quite pointless.. tells you that:F1-F6 Item use/select, F7 Change Mobile(Tag), F8 Skip Turn.
/go (number)
Joins a room number. (BROKEN I think.)
/go 999
/loud (name)
Shows a specific person's communication
(Lets someone speak to you again)
/mute
Ignore someone
/mutelist
Shows your ignored list.
/loudall
Takes everyone out of your ignore list
-
2C Items:
Items change the flow of the game. One item can mean the difference between winning and losing. The numbers on the item image shows the delay it adds to your shot. The package like things are how many spaces it takes up. You have 6 spaces to pick items you want. SS shots cannot be used with items and are grayed out if you use one (for one turn).
Dual:
P: 2 Delay: 400
Shoots 2 of the selected weapon instead of 1.
Blood
P: 1 Delay: 0
Uses 8% of your life to add 33% damage to your attack.
Energy Up 2
P: 2 Delay: 300
Adds 25% of your maximum life back. 5% Extra if your mobile is organic.
Energy Up 1
P:1 Delay: 150
Adds Little(5-10%??) of your maximum life back. 5% extra if your mobile is organic.
Dual+
P: 2 Delay: 250
Shoots your selected weapon and then the other one(the one not selected) right after.
Change Wind
P:1 Delay:150
Reverses dirrection of wind.
Team Teleport
P:1 Delay: 50(LOSE TURN)
Switches position with a team member with lower energy.
Bunge Shot
P:1 Delay: 50
I have no idea what this does. "Give 25% damages to bunge enemy". I'm guessing you give 25% of your damage to add more ground destruction.
Power Up
P:1 Delay: 150
Adds 33% damage to your attack(base damage).
Thunder
P: 2 Delay: 200
Makes thunder fall from the sky and damage your opponents where your shot hit.(1 for each part in your shot)
Teleport
P: 2 Delay: 100
When you fire your weapon after using this, you are teleported to where your shot lands.
*Notes* On their site they say something about disturbing items, but they haven't implemented any yet into the game of gunbound, so be sure to look for them after an update
-
2D Events
At the start of the game, you might notice the bar at the top with many symbols and objects. Also, you might notice that one is inside a square. The one in the square is happening right as you play. Events change many different things. I will go through them.
Force-(Sun like symbol)(Creates a beam of force)
Adds power to your shot, more power the longer it stays in the force beam.
Hurricane-(looks like wind moving into the center of a ball..sorta..)(Creates a hurricane)
Moves your shots in elevation.
Electricity-(looks like one of those electric ball things)(Creates a line of electricity)
Adds thunder item to your shots that pass through it.
Wind-(looks like a comet. On fire.)
Changes the wind.( Maximum wind any direction is 32)
Land-(looks like an ice shard)(I dunno what it creates yet.)
Increases damage by 15%
Protection-(looks like a moon)
Increases energy. Organic Mobiles get extra energy.
Ignorance-(Looks like an eclipse)
Items are disabled, SS recovers twice as fast, items used last turn don't work, shield time mobiles don't gain any shield.
Thor-(looks like a satelite)
Fires lasers at the shots you fire when they hit something.
Thor levels up the more it hits, and when it levels more, it causes more damage.
Max level 6?

2E Game Modes
Score
The 2 teams fight against each other until they lose all their lives, or there isn't anyone left on the field.
The amount of lives the team has is 1 more than the amount of people on their team.
1v1= 2 per team(doesn't matter) 2v2= 3 per team 3v3 = 4 per team 4v4 = 5 per team
If you die, you get to choose where you land and respawn after 4 turns.
Tag
Like score, there is teams.
If you die, you get a slot machine to play with, and cause chaos on the field, or win money. You have 2 mobiles. The mobiles can be switched at any time during your turn with the F7 button, or clicking the button marked as F7. You choose your second mobile during the regular time you select your mobile, just select 2 instead. The second one you pick starts out at 50% energy.
Solo
Like score, there is teams.
If you die, you get a slot machine to play with, and it is exactly the same as the one in Tag.
Jewel
Like score, there is teams.
If you die you come back in 2 turns, the object of the game is for your team to get 100 points.
If everyone on your team is bunged, your team loses.
The jewels have life, and you have to take all of it in one shot.
5/-5 points= (?) 10 points= (?) 25 points= 300(?)
After a while the -5 jewels turn into 5 jewels.
Your team's points cannot go below zero, incase you hit a -5 when your team is at 0 or something.
-
2EA Game Modes Tips( from amnei-jakev, so if you thing they're wrong too bad!)
Score:
-If you think your teammate is going to die, kill the person who is about to kill them. This way, when they're finished with your friend you wont have to deal with 2 people hitting you at once.(unless your teammate wants to die or something.. that'd be stupid.)
-Take into account the wind when your picking your respawn point. You could get blown off course!
-No more for now.(That means no ideas)
Tag
-Pick 2 mobiles that help each other. Like what? I don't know. Maybe Lightning and grub. The lightning can make the opponent go into a small hole and then switch to grub and use SS. Something like that.)
Solo
-See score help.
Jewel
-Use Bloods or Duals, maybe Teleport.
-You can distract the opponent if you think messing their angle up will make them miss.(By hitting the ground next to them, messing their angle)

2F Mobile Info
*General Info* (The > indicate who gets the +/-4-10% def/atk(?)
Shots:
Hit>Shield Armor>Hit *Hit mobiles= Nak, Boomer, Ice, Turtle*
Laser>Biological Shield>Laser *Laser Mobiles= Mage, Raon, A.Sate,Knight,Aduka*
Electricity>Mechanical Biological>Electricity *Electricity Mobiles= Electric, JD, Grub, Aduka*

Armor:
Mechanical: Armor, Nak, Raon, BigFoot, Aduka, Knight.
Shield: Mage, Electricity, A.Sate, JD
Biological: Grub,Trico, Boomer, Dragon, Ice, Turtle
Also... damage differs whereever you hit the mobile. Example:
Lets say there was a new mobile called Tank.
It had a lot of armor in the front of it, so you would do less damage hitting the front of it, but do more hitting the back of it, or the mobile avatar. I dunno about the real mobiles.. I need to find out how to test this without getting in trouble.

2FB Mobile Tips
I can only give tips on... Raon Launcher and... Nak Machine.. because those I excell in. Please, post your tips on mobiles at chrono's messageboard.
/Placing them well, don't fire them on a steep hill, they wont be able to climb up it. Also, they don't know friend from foe, so be sure that you or your allies aren't going to attract the mines.
/Organic mobiles have a smaller attraction radius for mines than metalic.
/You can bunge enemies using mines
/If you fire directly at an enemy with full power using dual with mines, and you hit them with the first two, they second two are almost guaranteed to hit. Unless.. of course, Thor is active, or lightning is on the mines. (Does 450+ without anything extra)
/Thor or lightning may stop shotgun mines.. but regular mines can explode from the lightning, doing the same/ more damage than normal. Lightning will usually only have two explode and the other two in the lightning spots. Thor makes it possible for much more damage... if you hit correctly
/If you miss using the mines.. a smart person would kill the mines and attack you again if they could.. if they don't do anything but try to kill you, or they can't kill the mines without getting hurt badly, you'll do 450+ damage to them next turn. If they're right next to you.. they can move away, making the mines be attracted to you instead of them, usually meaning death if they attack you. Sometimes they miss killing the mines that are being attracted to you.
/When you make them into a hole, you can usually go down into it and shotgun dualmines.. if you miss... you are done for. Hard to miss anyway.
/Does 150-180 DMG.
/Does 300-350 DMG >>>>
< This is a money techinque, I get about 450 Gold a game, even if I lose, and that's in the Avatar Off zone. Anyways, if you are good at shooting upwards(70 or more), then do so, when you hit someone the little balls will roll around. Well it seems that GunBound counts the rolling on the ground as air time, also you get the boomer shot bonus ,and sometimes a good shot bonus, all that totals to about 70 Gold every turn, if you do it right.
I haven't tryed it in the Avatar On zone, because I'll prolly get beaten up. So go ahead and give it a whirl >
2H Shots from mobiles
All shots fired by your mobile are affected by the wind. The wind makes the shot move slowly, or move fast, depending on the speed for the wind. Wind affects your dropping point, and underground shots(nak). You need to know how to change the power of your shot when the wind changes.
Sometimes the wind makes it impossible to hit someone without changing your angle or moving
(very rare, usually only happens when someone is below you and the wind would make it fall off the stage) so try to realize when this happens.
Now, here are all the shots fired by the mobiles:
Armor:
-1: A bomb of sorts. Creates large holes.
-2: A smaller bomb that when it explodes it continues and explodes again, making a smaller hole the second time. Useful if you want to use a thunder or something, or if you can hit the opponent exactly.
-SS: Needs about 4(?) seconds, then it opens up into a missle, if you hit the opponent you will do lots of damage.
Mage:
-1: A beam of exploding light/laser, creates holes.
-2: 2 beams of exploding light/laser, creates smaller holes, and the shots twirl around each other, making it easier to hit the opponent, but also making it easier to hit the land or people in the way.
-SS: Very destructive weapon, useful only against Shield type mobiles. I think it taks the shield, removes it, and takes the amount of life that the shield had away after that. Also does 100 damage.
Nak:
-1: A round ball that explodes, creates holes.
-2: This shot goes through the ground while arcing, and when it hits the surface after arcing, it explodes, doing great damage if you hit exactly. Creates big holes.
-SS: fires a shot that looks a little like a small nak. This shot goes through all land, air affects it. Easy to miss.
Trico:
-1: A round ball that explodes, creates holes. Damage is decreased the longer it stays in the air.
-2: 3 round balls that has 2 of them moving around a center one, small holes, sometimes hard to hit with all of them.
-SS: A shell is shot, when it hits it does lots of damage, and creates a huge hole(excellent for bunging)
BigFoot:
-1: 5(?) bombs shot at enemy, makes small holes for each one.
-2: 6(?) pellets shot at enemy, makes small holes for each one.
-SS: 6(?) Red bombs shot at enemy, makes small holes for each one.
Boomer:
-1: A single boomerang is fired, very sensitive to air.
-2: 4 boomerangs are fired, very sensitive to air.
-SS: Fires one boomerang, after 4 seconds turns into a golden one, doing massive damage. (400+)
RaonLauncher:
1: Fires 3 shots that are in a triangle like formation. Excellent at putting enemies into holes.
2: Fires 2 mines that do good damage if they hit after landing on ground. They move on your turn, only if they are red. They will go after anyone, including you!
SS: Fires 1 big mine that starts moving, it will hit anything, even the little mines, be careful. Eventually explodes if it doesn't hit anything for a while. Lighter than the other shots, so try to figure out how much power to use.
Lightning:
1: Fires a tracer which, when it hits the ground, makes a lightning bolt come down when the tracer hit.
2: Fires a tracer that makes 2 lightning bolts come down at a 45(?) degree angle where the tracer hit.
SS: Fires a tracer that when it hits the ground it makes a lghtning bolt come down for everyone in the blast radius. I imagine that this could be insane if many enemies were touching each other, because of the lightning effect.
JD:
1: Fires a bomb that has a lightning like affect. (Causes minor damage to those around the shot)
2: Fires a bomb that attracts anyone into the blast. Attraction is more effective if mobile close to the shot isn't organic.
SS: Fires a bomb that pushes anyone away from the blast.
A.Sate
1: Fires a tracer that when it hits the ground the satelite (not thor) fires a shot at the location of your shot.
2: Fires a tracer that when it hits the ground it fires 3 shots instead of 1.
SS: Fires a tracer that when it hits the ground the satelite moves over the location and fires 5(?) shots.
Ice:
1: Fires a shard of ice, makes a big hole.
2: Fires a ball of ice, lowers defensive ability to hitting weapons. (I don't know how much, max is 20%.)
SS: Fires a big snowflake, doing damage to anyone in the area.
Turtle:
1: Shoots one water jet, creates small hole.
2: Shoots 2 twirling water jets, they come together if shot at a high angle and have a long air time.
SS: Shoots a ball of water that splits into many little balls, VERY hard to hit opponent with all of them, probably devastating if anyone found out how.
Grub:
1: Fires 1 small ball that explodes on impact with ground.
2: Fires 5 small balls that explodes on contact with enemy.
SS: Fires a bouncing ball that doesn't explode and does damage for the amount of time it hits an opponent for 5(?) seconds.
Aduka:
1: Fires a small ball of electricity. (Has electricity affect)
2: Fires 2 tracers, when it hits it calls on the power of thor to shoot.
SS: Fires 3 tracers.
Dragon:
1: Fires a ball of fire.
2: Fires 5(?) balls of fire.
SS: Fires a tracer that, when it lands, calls 6(?) dragons in a semi-circle to attack the spot.
Knight:
1/2/SS: See A.Sate, only much more deadly.

3A. There was probably a rigid edge that made your shot explode on the wall.
4Q My item was used but it didn't give me the effect! What is up with that?
4A. It is a bug/glitch/some other term for mistake in programing.
5Q. What does the current thing at the top of this guide mean?
5A. It means I started the current version at that time.
6Q. Can I use your guide on my site?
6A. You have to tell me your site first. ( animejakev(at symbol)hotmail.com )
7Q. My JD SS moved the opponent, but then the opponent reappeared in his original spot! Why?
7A. I don't know if it intentional or a bug, but it just happens sometimes.

4A GB History.
The folks at gunbound.net have put a piece of the story in each of the parts in the mobile description.
It appears that there was a war, and the mobiles you see now are a result of that war. They also give the names of cities/lands
Land list: Lond,Miramo,Adiu
Names: Hu Boee..that is it.
Hu Boee created the ArmorMobile, for use in transportation and protection from falling stones. When the war started, they were equiped with weapons, and then sold as mobiles.
Adium people tried to use ancient gems that gather light and fire them, but failed to during the war. Eventualy, after the war, they found out how and created it into a mobile, the mage. They then added an ancient shield regenerator.
Hu Boee developed many mines.. Most of them were used for mining metal. NakMachines were made for mining instead of people.
Tricos were used as transports in Miramo.
Ho Boee's study on gunpowder and fire was about increasing its power, and controling the heat when it explodes. BigFoots were designed to shoot multiple missles, and control their heat.
In ancient Miramo, techniques of drying wood and bones of animals have been developed.
They created tools made of wood, and created boomers to break ice and rocks. THey were used as weapons during the war.
RaonLaunchers were found in caves, and they protected themselves with mines. After some deaths,
they found out that it can only move if it is near the RaonLauncher, and they found out how to control it. They were used in the war.
In the ancient days, people believed that someone could change the weather through will.
(Can't figure out more)
The production of lightning lead to the electric-bomb, which lead to the production of JD.
Weapon Developers wanted to change the current mobile armor, which had the weakest armor in the upper part. They then decided to take the weapon out of the mobile, and use the satelites in the sky to shoot.(A.Sate)
In Miramo, the people there used the power of animals wisely. They had no machinery, so animals were easier to use. They used mammoths for protection and building, and in the war, they used them for protection. (Ice)
The turtles of Miramo are big and have hard shells. When the game of gunbound started, they were recognized as a strong mobile.
Adium, using the knowledge of ancient times, developed a creature that didn't exist before then. This mobile was the grub. Inside the shell of the grub, there is a glowing internal organ. This organ stores the electricity, and fires the marble like shots.
In a new religion that believes in Thor, they found a key that lets a user control Thor in an ancient relic, and put it in a nak like mobile. Thus, Aduka was created.
Dragons were not created. They appear in the myths of Miramo, and thought to be extinct.
Lond's ancient temple contained a blue print of a machine of destruction. Scientists said they should build it only after examining it, but laders of Adium decided to build the machine right away. In the war, the knight won many battles, but only a few could be build because of the materials needed.
Major kudos to JakeV for making this FAQ.
